Taste Some Old-School Treats
Hit Franklin Street to find not one but two restaurants that are celebrating a century in service. Carolina Coffee Shop, the oldest restaurant in North Carolina, offers Southern cuisine, a full bar, weekend brunch, and, yes, coffee. Across the street, Sutton’s Drug Store is a more casual affair, with burgers and hot dogs served fresh off an old-fashioned grill inside an old-timey former pharmacy.
