Hop, Walk, or Crawl

But the “can’t miss” on any list is Ackland Art Museum. It houses over 18,000 works of art, including European masterworks, 20th century and contemporary art, African art, Asian art, North Carolina pottery, and works on paper.

Dim the Lights
No art lover’s retreat would be complete without a night at the theater. Choose from a mix of classics and new works at PlayMakers Repertory Company, the professional theatre in residence for UNC’s Department of Dramatic Art. The ArtsCenter in Carrboro features two galleries with rotating monthly exhibits and has an exceptional performance program attracting regionally and nationally acclaimed talent year after year.
